Westlake College History: Westlake College was founded in January 1998. The College taught ESL, 3D Animation, MCSE, Computer Graphics and A+, Cisco etc. This Professional Vocational College focused mainly in English and various computer classes to meet the demand of the rapidly growing computer industry. Westlake College became a computer based testing center for Thomson Prometric Testing Center and Toefl Testing Center for students to obtain licenses. Westlake College established 43 constructional field professional programs approved by BPPE to help students to receive employment that were highly demanded from the community. In year 2005, Westlake College has started establishing health care programs such as Medical Assistant, Medical Billing, Medical Office Management programs.In Year 2010 January Westlake College’s Phlebotomy Program and Vocational Nurse Program was approved by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and BPPE, respectively. The institution was also approved as an official testing center for the National Healthcare Association Test (NHA, NCCT and Pearson Vue Test Center. Our students no longer needed to search for other testing center for their professional license exam after the completion of the medical courses. Westlake College is an approved and certified American Heart Association CPR Provider Site. We are located in the heart of downtown Los Angeles with easy access to the subway, public bus, and other public transportation within 1 minute walking distance.
